This is gonna sound crazy...

...but we're adopting embryos.

Maybe I should back up a little bit first. My husband and I met at work in 2000...and became fast friends. Seriously one of the funniest people I've ever met - and pretty much just a good all-around guy. We started dating when a friend of mine said "why don't you date Cmac?" It hadn't occurred to me to take it from work friends to more, but after she planted the seed it became obvious that he wasn't in it for a friendship at all! So we took it to the next level. Being that we were slightly older than most couples starting out, things moved pretty quickly and before we knew it we had purchased a home together. The following year we married in Maui (it was magic).

Back to the baby business. When we moved into the house in 2004, we decided to "go commando" in the boudoire and should we get pregnant that would be ok...we were committed...our lives together were on track. A few months of masterly timed sex came and went, and when Cmac proposed, we decided to put the baby making plans on hold as I was not interested in being "pregnant bride". Before our wedding, I made a quick trip to the GP who provided a referral to a doc named Cadesky at "Lifequest" - just making the appointment was enough to mute my clanging clock and get us through the wedding, with future baby dreams dancing in our heads...

Cadesky would find the problem. Cadesky would make this work.

Cadesky didn't really find the problem, and $60,000 later, we found ourselves back in IF hell...

I am so glad you started this blog so I can get updates without having to speak to you live every day- JK>>>>>>>>>>> I will read ever post like I would read a gripping novel but I know the end to this story and it is a happy one. Keep the end goal in mind and your dreams will become a reality no matter what the journey entails.
